1. Purpose
This document outlines our company’s expectations and requirements for all suppliers and subcontractors in relation to human rights and the prevention of forced labor. We are committed to upholding the dignity, freedom, and rights of all individuals and require the same commitment from our supply chain partners.
2. Scope
This requirement applies to all suppliers, service providers, vendors, and their subcontractors who provide goods or services to our company, regardless of geographic location.
3. Policy Requirements
All suppliers must ensure the following minimum standards are met in their operations and in the operations of their subcontractors:
- Prohibit the use of forced labor, including prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, military labor, slave labor, and any form of human trafficking.
- Ensure all work is voluntary, and workers are free to leave after reasonable notice.
- Workers must not be required to surrender government-issued identification, passports, or work permits as a condition of employment.
- Ensure no recruitment fees are charged to workers.
- Provide workers with a written employment agreement in a language they understand, detailing working conditions, wages, and terms of employment.
- Adhere to all applicable international and local labor laws, including those related to working hours, wages, and benefits.
- Prohibit the employment of underage workers, consistent with International Labour Organization (ILO) standards.
4. Monitoring and Compliance
Our company reserves the right to conduct audits or request documentation to verify compliance with this policy. Suppliers found in violation may be subject to corrective action, including termination of business relationships.
5. Reporting Violations
Suppliers must maintain a grievance mechanism through which workers can report violations of human rights or forced labor practices anonymously and without fear of retaliation. Any reported violations must be promptly investigated and addressed.
6. Acknowledgment
By continuing to do business with our company, suppliers acknowledge and agree to comply with the terms outlined in this document and to uphold the highest standards of human rights and labor practices.
